OVERVIEW

Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (SANKALP) is a World Bank-funded project aimed at Institutional strengthening, enhancing market relevance, improving quality and boosting inclusion of marginalised sections of society in the skill ecosystem of India.

A portal was commissioned in order to receive and approve proposals from State and District, followed with Grant release and then monitoring of the funded projects.

OBJECTIVE

By March 2023, SANKALP aspires to revamp skilling in India with interventions targeting decentralisation, standardisation, improving market relevance and enhancing private participation.

The portal objectives was to introduce a net zero reliance on manual paperwork and hence create dynamic dashboards to actively monitor the funded projects.

Hence, the development of different dashboards and the Finance module to manage & monitor the funds; a project management system to monitor the internal project within the Ministry; and provide an easy mechanism to help the ministry to run the scheme in the most efficient manner.
