XRC Studios delivers India’s first ever fully immersive 3D Experiential Virtual Forum for the Jewelers and Diamantaires of the World.
Forevermark India, a diamond company and subsidiary of De Beers Group, wanted to honour its commitment to its partners and stakeholders by proceeding with its annual Forevermark Forum, 2020 - India’s first ever fully immersive 3D experiential virtual forum for the Jewelers and Diamantaires.
The forum saw high profile & distinguished speakers such as: Randi Zuckerberg, Founder & CEO at Zuckerberg Media, Mr. Deep Kalra, Founder, MakeMyTrip and Sonam Wangchuk, engineer, innovator and education reformist. For the entertainment quotient, award-winning superstar, Farhan Akhtar enthralled the attendees of the Forum with an interesting fireside conversation and a live acoustic performance. Mandira Bedi presented the tutorial for the 3D solution.
The success of this forum resulted in a similar forum in 2021.
The previous eight editions of the forum had been on ground activation. The Forevermark Forum 2020, the ninth edition, was the first ever time the forum was moving to the virtual world. With the given scale of close to 10,000 concurrent attendees across 41 countries and 2800 companies, the challenge was to make sure the solution provided was robust, scalable and most importantly secure. The client had clearly stated that they are looking for latest technology which is immersive and “not a webinar”. The solution had to be 3D, interactive with gamification and collaboration layers for real life like engagements.
Given the magnitude of the challenge, XRC started to build the solution and modules around its most trusted virtual spaces platform- CUBE. XRC aligned its best team of senior XR developers and consultants to the project. The technology used was WebGL, which is device agnostic and a browser-based solution to web 3D application of the virtual spaces. Many customized modules such as- meeting scheduler, live chat support, mini maps of the space (2 Lac. sq. ft), 2 factor authentication using OTP and email validation, HTML based event microsite, traversal system, forced layouts, and deep analytics to track each and every attendee’s behavior and most importantly the leaderboard.
