Billing Procedure
All invoices are raised on the client entity and a hardcopy is mailed via a courier service. Money transfers are online.
Billing is typically estimated on the INR and then we convert that figure for clients at the prevailing exchange rate. Foreign currency is converted at the prevailing rates at the time of making the online money transfer. If there is any monetary loss or gain, this is adjusted at the prevailing rate on the date the transfer is received in our banks in India.
Project Estimation
We have 3 ways of estimating a project:
1. Fixed Cost: works for longer duration projects - where we estimate a manmonth cost and multiply by an expected time of completion. This gives clients the benefit of a fixed cost fee pack, and NetProphets the ability to block off resources during that duration.
2. ManMonth Cost: This works in two instances :
• When the client says " We will buy the month and keep the resource dedicated to my business"
• When the project is of relatively shorter durations, with tangible Project Management and Quality Assurance effort on top.
Both Fixed Project fees and ManMonth fees are inclusive of Project Planning (architecture), Program Management and Quality Assurance (testing) time. We typically estimate these to be 30%-35% of programming time estimates.

Man Hour: When clients are in a maintenance mode and wish to engage for bug fixing, being at hand for support and general management or for building small applications on an adhoc basis, which cannot be committed on a manmonth or advanced basis.
